Description
New from Schwinn for 2007: The Free Runner ST now comes in New Colors Tinted drop down canopy visor The Schwinn Free Runner ST is a recent addition to Schwinn's growing line of affordable jogging strollers. It is the same durable jogging frame as the Schwinn Free Runner LT , but with one major exception: the Free Runner ST has a steel frame, rather than aluminum. This not only increases the stroller's weight but may also make it prone to rust after extended use. Because of this change, the Free Runner ST is more affordable than the aluminum framed Free Runner LT . The Schwinn Free Runner ST takes all the essential elements of a functional jogging stroller (16" wheels, an adjustable handlebar, a handbrake for added control, and rear suspension for a smoother ride) and adds parent-friendly conveniences like a handlebar console for drinks and valuables as well as a big storage basket beneath the seat. Serious joggers looking for an affordable jogging stroller with performance potential and a long lifespan should check out the Free Runner LT , or the new Schwinn Joyrider jogging stroller. The new Joyrider is one of only a few joggers on the market offered with a 20" front wheel for added stability. Bottom Line: Built on a steel frame, the Free Runner ST is more affordable than many in its category, and may accumulate some rust over time. Schwinn is on the mid-range in terms of price and quality in the world of jogging strollers, and barely holds a candle to high performance joggers from BOB or Baby Jogger . Schwinn is doing its best to compete by improving the seat padding and enlarging the sun canopy, but there is a vast difference between a Schwinn and the competition. If you want a convenient, affordable, and durable stroller for jogging, consider the Free Runner ST.
