Designed for ascending single ropes ranging from 8-13 mm in diameter, Petzl's Ascension is a handled rope clamp with an elastomeric grip that provides thermal insulation in cold weather. Its chrome-plated steel cam has inclined teeth and self-cleaning slots that provide an excellent grip on wet, icy or muddy ropes. Its ergonomic spring-loaded catch allows you to hold the cam in the open position, while also facilitating one-handed installation and removal.
